One condition that could impact your eyes is known as a pterygium or "surfer's eye." What is a Pterygium? A pterygium is an improvement of pink, stout tissue that commonly appears on the inner side of the eye (closest to the nose). Stretching out across the white piece of the eye, a pterygium much of the time covers part of the cornea with pinkish tissue. Exactly when this happens, your vision may be debilitated. Pterygiums can be the delayed consequence of having dry eyes or overexposure to wind, buildup, and brilliant (UV) light from the sun. What Are Pterygium Symptoms?
